A natural storyteller of jazz delights.

Susanna Aleksandra is an Estonian jazz singer, lyricist and composer. Passionate for languages, she effortlessly plays with words and melodies, navigating through traditional, modern and Latin Jazz. A natural storyteller, the charismatic singer holds the listener spellbound, making jazz approachable not only for jazz lovers. Her debut album Miracles consisting of her original music was released in 2015.

Susanna Aleksandra collaborates with top class jazz musicians, including the Steinway artist, pianist Joonas Haavisto and the pianist of Chris Botti Holger Marjamaa. She has performed with the legendary Igor Butman Quartet and the Russian multi-instrumentalist David Goloshokin. In addition, she has shared the stage with Robert Hurst, Peter Bernstein, Chico Pinheiro, Mitchell Long (guitarist of Melody Gardot) and many more.

Her second album featuring some of the best Northern European jazz musicians will be released in 2020.

Susanna’s other passion besides music is languages. She holds a degree in French language and literature and is a fluent speaker of 6 languages. She loves to travel from place to place through music as well as communicating with the audience in their own language.

Susanna did her Bachelor in Jazz Performance in the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Finland. Currently she is finishing her graduate studies at the Sibelius Academy with professor Jukkis Uotila and Doctor Aija Puurtinen and at the USC Thornton School of Music with the two-time Grammy nominated jazz vocalist Sara Gazarek.

In addition, she has participated in several Global Music Foundation courses, studying with the jazz diva Deborah Brown, Grammy nominated vocalist René Marie, Pete Churchill and Guillermo Rozenthuler and master classes led by Bob Stoloff, Carmen Lundy, Sinne Eeg, Aron Goldberg, Chico Pinheiro, Tim Hagans, Bruce Barth and many others.
