Mexican-American flutist and soprano
Beatriz Macias is becoming
one of the most versatile figures
in the scene of classical music.

Macias began her career as a professional flutist, having worked with some of the most prestigious orchestras around the world. Celebrated for the “voice-like beauty” of her playing, Macias established an international career as Former Solo Flutist of the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra and as a Yamaha Young Performing Artist. It can be easily said that her career as a flutist drew her to opera. As a singer, Macias has appeared with symphony and chamber orchestras in Europe and can be regularly seen performing in recital concert settings. Macias has appeared with the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra, the Luxembourg Philharmonic, the Royal Opera House ‘La Monnaie’, the Flemish Opera House, the Noord Nederlands Orkest, the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, the Qatar Philharmonic, the Opera national de Lorraine, and the Houston Symphony Orchestra, amongst others. Macias has also been invited by distinctive political Embassies to perform in Mexico, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Greece and Finland as part of her “Without Borders” Concert Series.
Upcoming performances include recitals in Finland with Finnish pianist Tuomas Nikkanen and the United States with “The best of Zarzuela!” Macias’ Hispanic background fits perfectly with this exiting and dramatic art form: “Macias is like fire on stage, bringing Zarzuela to life with every note and gesture!”
