A versatile artist who leaves audiences in awe of the possibilities of the instrument, Finnish harpist Katri Tikka pushes the harp beyond the boundaries of music. In her solo concerts, Katri often combines music with texts and stories and creates programs with various artists. She has performed as a soloist and as a chamber and orchestral musician in Finland, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Lithuania and Germany.
Katri has collaborated and performed as a member of Elja kammersveit chamber ensemble in Iceland and Ensemble 42, Kipinä and Amore Torna in Norway. In Finland Katri has several active chamber ensembles, among them Trio Tr-IKS, duo with oboist Laura Lammi and Amigasa trio with Nyyti Komulainen (clarinet) and Sho Kubota (percussion).
